About
Free Stock Research offers early childhood education products that help parents homeschool during their child’s most valuable learning period. We’ve also written about the best consumer products and services on Amazon and elsewhere. Our goal is to help you live better, smarter and healthier in your everyday life. We cover all educational products for children and everything we publish on our website is written and edited by experts in their field. In fact, we often ask professionals to review our reviews, features, and guides to ensure the advice we offer is the best you will read. After all, if we don’t do it right, we won’t fulfill our goal of helping you live a better life, and you’ll be less likely to trust our reviews and return to our site.
Our website is based on buying advice and helps you understand what you are buying and your options. There are more options than ever when it comes to parting with your money. Whether you want to buy your children something to sleep with, play with, learn through tons of information, or learn something from scratch, it takes a long time. Sure, it would be great if you all could fill your shopping cart with the ten best products, take them home, try them out, and return the nine you don’t want. Unfortunately none of us have the time.
Not only do we filter out the best products and services for you in our buying guides, we also provide you with a detailed breakdown of each product and service in our individual reviews. We also create features on each topic to help you understand some of the more technical terminology and give you general tips that will not only make your purchasing decision easier, but also give you perspective on other options for a better life.
How we work
We have assembled a team of writers and reviewers, each with specific skills and expertise, as well as a group of editors who have extensive knowledge of each content area. We monitor trends, track industry news, engage with thought leaders, and keep an eye on new advances in home, services and technology to decide what we review and cover locally.
Our editorial team analyzes the data collected to identify products and services that are important to you. Their selection is based on a number of factors including cost, availability, popularity, etc. Sometimes they suggest a few dozen products for review; sometimes more. When the final list is complete, our reviewers contact manufacturers looking for non-binding samples or rental products. Most manufacturers are happy to provide samples – not to mention the possibility of a bad review – because they believe in the quality of their products. In some cases, if a product sample is not available, we will go to the store like you and spend the money to pick it up.
Once the products are in, our reviewers begin the thorough review process, which includes using most products exactly as you would, as well as some standard testing that allows us to compare products in a category. Think about the battery life of your phone or laptop or the cleaning performance of a washing machine. This ensures we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of each product and communicate them in a way that makes sense to you.
Our tests collect data on features, usability, durability and the level of customer support from the manufacturer, among other things. We use this to formulate a rating for each product and also take the price into account. Often there is no “best overall” product in a category because each product has its own strengths and weaknesses. In these cases, we determine which is best “for the most people.”
Occasionally we use our expertise and seek other expert advice and user reviews to create lists of the best products that we are unable to currently review. We make it clear when this occurs and will try to ensure we fully review a product when we get our hands on it. Examples of this include hot tubs and swim spas, where we carefully research, talk to other experts and search the internet for user reviews and forum complaints and how the manufacturer handled them.
How we make money
We value editorial integrity. We want to make sure you are happy with the product or service recommended by Free Stock Research because we want you to come back the next time you need advice.
In most cases, we earn money when you click a link and purchase a product. After a cooling-off period, we will receive a small percentage of what you paid in the form of a so-called “affiliate fee”. Because affiliate fees are largely standard, we will not try to pressure you into choosing one product over another or using a particular retailer. We want to make sure you get the right product or service for you.
Once our reviews are complete and published, our commercial staff can pursue various opportunities to generate additional revenue. This can include traditional advertising, sponsorships or lead generation. Sponsored content is clearly marked
